Who we are
The After Party ("aP", "we") is a volunteer-run gaming community. This site hosts our public pages, game server details and member forums. You can reach us any time at info@theafterparty.gg.
What we collect
- Account information. If you register for the forums we store your email address, an encrypted password and the forum handle you choose.
- Content you post. Threads and replies you write, together with your handle and the time you posted.
- Basic technical data. Our hosting provider records standard server logs (IP address, browser type, pages requested) for security and abuse prevention.
We do not collect payment details, we do not run advertising trackers, and we do not buy or sell personal information.
Why we use it
Only to run the community: signing you in, showing your posts, moderating the forums, keeping the servers secure and answering messages you send us. We do not use your information for automated profiling or advertising.
Cookies and local storage
We use only what is strictly necessary. When you sign in, your browser stores a session token so you stay signed in. There are no advertising or analytics cookies, so there is nothing to opt out of. Clearing your browser storage signs you out.
Who else sees your data
Our website hosting and database providers process this data on our behalf under their own security commitments. Anything you post in the forums is public and visible to anyone on the internet, including search engines — please do not post private information about yourself or anyone else.
How long we keep it
Account data is kept while your account is open. Forum posts stay up as part of the community record unless you ask us to remove them. Server logs are kept for a short period for security purposes.
Your choices and rights
Email info@theafterparty.gg and we will, within 30 days: send you a copy of the information we hold, correct anything that is wrong, delete your account and personal information, or remove specific posts. We never discriminate against anyone for making a request. Residents of California, Canada, the EU/UK and other regions with data protection laws are welcome to use these same rights — we apply them to everybody.
Children
The forums are for people aged 13 and over. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child has registered, email us and we will remove the account.
Changes
If we change this policy we will update the date at the top and post a note in the General Discussion forum.
